Ok here it goes:
Attributes:
135HP / (+20% enchants weapon)
kill set
14 prot (with +4 prot helm)
14 div favor
10 illusion
precast set
13prot
15div (with +4 div helm)
Skillbar:
[Protective spirit][Shield of absorption][Spell Breaker][Ancester's Visage][Sympathetic Visage][Balthazar spirit][Blessed Aura][free slot]
For the free slot i recomend symbol of wrath, that is usefull to break body blocks
Now for the method:
Enter the city portal coming from gate of anguish;
Precast enchants;
Wait for energy to regen;
Open the door;
Watch the location of the mobs and enter the range of a Quickening Zephyr without agroing;
Cast spellbreaker and the prot stuff;
Run like crazy until u gather agro;
Remember to cast visage once in a while to prevent margonite warriors to knock u down with magehunter smash;
Keep in mind that when u need to recast Spellbreaker u need to go in the range of a QZ;
After you are happy with agro, pull them all in the same direction in a way that makes all CASTERS // Ranged attackers ball up.
After they are balled up, move close to them.
Make a cycle of Visages in a way that there is never a time where u dont have at least one visage on you.
Watch the fireworks
note: Recast the prot skills like crazy so you get healed (by the divine favor) to counter the degen from burning.

Interesting, I may have to hold back my war and zip my monk through NF. BTW, I havent been playing with AV/SV since the "farming-nerf" and I heard that monsters scatter away from AV/SV. Tried to look up info but cant find it. Is there a certain way to use AV/SV so they wont scatter?

u need them because there are times where the QZ wont be up and you cannot afford for the casters to regain energy, so this way you can cycle the visages and never let them gain a single drop of energy

I would like to see a video, or at least some screenies for this. In my tests, famine didn't do enough damage to outheal the monks. I even tried this with a smite bonder with little improvement.

What do you mean outheal ? the monks with no energy dont heal... they just sit there and die...
The thing is im not gonna bother with making a video, its like this is not an easy farming, and if you cant do it you just need to practice it more... the secret about this is the how well you can herd the mobs while you agro them... you need to make it so that the casters ball up, so after you go near them and they loose energy because of the melees attacking you.
Since the melees have the new "flee" AI, you will always have melees alive and kicking to drain the casters energy. Monks are Casters and therefore they sit near the rest of casters and loose energy and stop casting.

the problem ive been having with this build is that it relies on the mobs to cast your spirits for you, and once you kill melee, youre pretty much done.taking a ranger with EoE and qz has given me alot better results, even if it does cut your profits in half.

Thats all true, but keep in mind that the only spirit you need to have up ALL the time is famine, wich is the damage dealer... The QZ is only needed to do the initial agro runs so you can keep a constant spellbreaker. (you could eventually take archane echo for the free slot to have a bit more freedom)
Basically this farming relies on the same principles as the shiro'ken farming in unwaking waters (damage dealing-wise) but with the diference that you must do the agro and cast the visages properly in a way that you can drain the energy from the casters, so that they dont strip off your enchants.
The thing you say about the melees is true but only if you agro a very small group, because thanks to the new AI, if you have a grp of melees big enough, they will run back, regen, go back in and others will go back... this makes it so that melees take a LONG time to die (you may not even be able to kill them at all). So let's use the new AI to our advantage: the casters and ranged attackers do not flee from you even if they are balled up and taking damage all at once, so you rely on the melee attackers to hit you and trigger visage, so you can drain and damage the casters. Since the casters wont heal themselves because they dont have energy, and since the melee run back and forth, this makes it so that the melee always take longer to kill than the casters and therefore makes the farming possible.
I hope my english was good enough to explain the fundaments behind this

I've been trying to do this with no result at all, I always get killed soon or later
If some ranger want to team up with me pm in game < King Roham > since it seems that most of the times I die it's because the spirits die and I don't notice

Or they could just update the AI so it stops killing itself with famine. And while they're at it, they can make it stop bouncing off Shield of Judgement and Vengeful Was Khanhei.
